Based on the history of the mining camps surrounding Telluride, CO, where four to five tons of sugar were brought in by railway each week specifically to make vodka. We kept that tradition alive by using 100% sugar cane, which creates a premium and ultra-smooth vodka. With the sugarcane base, it boasts a luxuriously, creamy mouthfeel that is odorless and tasteless. Our vodka was a bronze medal winner at the San Fransisco World Spirits Competition (40% ABV, gluten free)
Thoughtfully crafted at 8700 in picturesque Telluride, CO, each of our Telluride Distilling's spirits are crafted using pure Telluride mountain water and hand-picked local ingredients when available. Our meticulous process and dedication to quality has resulted in the most awarded artisanal schnapps in the world, as well as a lineup of delicious gin, vodka, whiskey, agave spirits and more.
Using only the finest ingredients, our mashing and mixing is done by hand using our 300 gallon mash tun.
Fermentation is done in our controlled environment in 550 Gallon Stainless Steel tanks.
We use a custom built Continuous Fractioning Column, this assures consistency and quality at a level unobtainable from a pot still.
Our whiskey is barrel aged in various types of new and used charred oak barrels, creating unmatched depth and complexity.
Using pure Telluride Mountain Water, all products are diluted and proofed to their exact claimed alcohol percentage.
As with all other processes, all bottling is done in house using a precise and automated bottling line then hand labeled.
